The majority of women who have trusted Faith Community Hospital, part of the Faith Community Health System, for healthcare in 2023 say they wouldn’t go anywhere else, giving the hospital the highest marks for patient experience.

Faith was named by the Women’s Choice Awards to the 100 Best Hospitals for Patient Experience 2023 listing, a national honor that focuses only on patient satisfaction and female preferences.

“I am so proud of our entire team at Faith whose efforts have led to winning the Women’s Choice Award for Patient Experience,” said Frank L. Beaman, CEO. “Our system is dedicated to providing quality healthcare and going above and beyond to ensure patients have the most positive experiences with the highest level of satisfaction.”

The 100 Best Hospitals list (of community hospitals) is based on an analysis of Faith’s Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) scores which are completed by patients after discharge and submitted to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

With their hospital experiences top of mind, the patients’ scores reflect a real-time, true opinion of a patient’s satisfaction with their hospital stay. Questions on the survey request patient input on how much they are willing to recommend the hospital and physician and nurse communication. Other factors that weigh on the Top 100 Best Hospitals score sheet include helpfulness of staff, discharge process and how peaceful their room was at night.

Across the United States, scoring is objective and uniform; the hospitals with the best 100 scores are named to the Women’s Choice Award list. Being named and recognized as a hospital of choice among women is a significant honor and achievement, considering that women account for 90 percent of all healthcare decision.

“Faith Community Hospital is dedicated to its patient-first philosophy,” said Paula Edwards, BSN, RN, Chief Nursing Officer at Faith Community Health System. “Every member of our healthcare team, and especially our wonderful, skilled nurses, care for their patients with loving and skilled hands. When women tell us they have had a positive experience here, we take it to heart.”
